It was supposed to be just another gig for Codi Cassidy, a country music star. When she rolls into small-town Quincey, New Mexico to perform at a fundraising event, Codi gets more than she signed on for when her best friend from high school becomes the primary suspect in a murder investigation. Codi makes a promise to her friend that she'll discover who the actual murderer is.

As a favor to her bandmate, Bozeman James, Codi Cassidy agrees to be the opening act at an album release party for a rising star, a longtime friend of Bozeman's. The concert hits a sour note when Codi discovers the star of the show dead in his bed. When means, motive, and opportunity all point to Bozeman, he's arrested for the murder, and it's up to Codi to come up with another viable suspect.

A wealthy businessman hires Codi Cassidy and her band to play at his private costume party for him and his guests. During the show, a violent storm rolls through, the lights go out, and someone drops dead. When the town's police chief gets incapacitated, and with no outside chance for help, it's up to Codi to work through the guest list to determine whodunit.

This omnibus includes the first three books that follow Codi, her bandmates, and a tour bus full of unusual pets as they travel the American west playing music and solving mysteries.
